STUDIO 096 was built by barbers with 11+ years combined behind the chair — one in small-town Indiana, one in Miami. We spent those years watching what real hair actually does: where product fails, where it flakes, where it dies by 2pm.

Sea Salt Spray — FORM 02 — is the answer to the most common ask in the chair: texture and grip that still moves. Vegan, glass-first, and tuned on real heads of hair before it was ever a label.

The microplastics problem

Microplastics reach beauty two ways: added into formulas as exfoliating beads, and shed from plastic packaging over time as it meets heat, oils, and the product itself. FORM 02 uses sea salt and magnesium sulphate to build texture — no plastic beads in the formula — and the bottle that holds it is glass, not plastic.

Why glass

The part that matters is the part the formula sits in. Plastic containers can shed microplastics into what they hold over time; glass can't. That's why FORM 02 lives in a frosted glass bottle — your spray stays in contact with inert glass, not plastic. The sprayer mechanism is still plastic for now, and it's on the list as we work toward 2030.

We treat all three as the baseline a grooming product should clear before it earns a spot on your shelf. Most of the industry still doesn't — and the labels that say otherwise often aren't backed by anything.

01 / Vegan

No animal ingredients

No beeswax, lanolin, carmine, keratin, or honey. FORM 02 builds texture from sea salt, plant extracts, and magnesium sulphate — nothing that came from an animal.

02 / Cruelty-free

Never tested on animals

Not the finished product, not the ingredients, at any stage. A product can be vegan and still be tested on animals — the two are separate promises. We hold both.

03 / Organic

Held to its real meaning

No agency polices the word "organic" on a cosmetic in the US, so plenty of brands print it over nothing. We use it the way it's supposed to mean: organically grown, naturally derived inputs.
